Coronavirus (2019-nCov) and CAS fixtures

From the CAS Chair, 2020.

Coronavirus (2019-nCov) and CAS fixtures

As the CAS community is well aware, schools are taking the necessary precautions to contain the potential spread of Coronavirus (2019-nCov) in line with the NSW Department of Health guidelines. The following protocols for CAS fixtures will obtain during this current quarantine period.

  1. CAS fixtures will continue to function as per the schedule for the foreseeable future. The General Committee will monitor advice provided by the relevant authorities.
  2. Students who are in quarantine from their own schools cannot participate in CAS fixtures.
  • Parents from our schools who are concerned about the risk of infection from contact through sporting fixtures conducted by CAS may exercise their own discretion with respect to their child’s participation. This rests within the usual authority of each individual school on a case-by-case basis. You are urged to contact your school to discuss your circumstances.
  1. If teams are so depleted by the quarantine to render the fixture as non-viable, a decision will be made between the respective Heads of Sport in a timely way. “
